Drain and rinse the black beans, then spread on a clean towel and pat very dry.

Add the beans to a large bowl and mash thoroughly with a fork or potato masher, leaving some texture.

Mix in the almond flour, flaxseed, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, pepper, and MSG until a firm dough forms. If the mixture is too wet, add a little more almond flour.

Divide into 8 equal portions and shape into patties about ½ inch thick.

Heat a lightly oiled skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side until a dark crust forms and they hold together firmly. Alternatively, bake at 375°F for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.
