    Combine the green chiles, lime juice, fish sauce, cumin, garlic powder, and salt in a bowl and stir to make a loose marinade.

    Add the chicken breasts to the marinade and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes (or up to 8 hours for deeper flavor).

    Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts along with most of the marinade (reserve a few tablespoons for finishing).

    Cook for 6-8 minutes per side depending on thickness, until the chicken is cooked through and the green chiles have caramelized slightly in the pan. Reduce heat if the pan starts to dry out or scorch.
